These two famous cities, together with the others in the lower reaches of Yangtze River, constitute an important part of the Southern China, which is commonly referred to as Jiangnan (江南). This region of China is renowned for its beautiful stone bridges, pagadas, and meticulously designed gardens which have contributed to its status as a great tourist attraction. Besides natural beauty, this part has been the cultural and economic center of China since Southern Dynasties.

Dec 2009 | 21 ImagesDCSSA Orientation 2009 At August 14th, 2009, arond 150 new coming Chiese undergraduate students, graduate students, MBA students, exchanging students and scholars participated the DCSSA orientation. Pizza and drink is served and with a information session featured by two invited Chinese faculty member Prof. Xiaofan Wang from medical center and Prof Haiyan Gao from physics department, as well as introductions to DCSSA committee and DCSSA associated sports clubs. Dec 2009 | 15 ImagesDCSSA Game Night Hosted in Phy 150/154 at June 25th, this Chinese game night event introduced the traditional Chinese "Dragon Boat festival" and various Chinese games including go, Chinese Chess, Majiang and Poker.
